Professional Bio
Meredith Ackroyd is a graduate of the MFA program in children's literature
at Hollins University, where she studied the writing of poetry for children.
Her poetry has been published in tinywords, Berry Blue Haiku, and Puddle
Jump Quarterly, and her scholarly writing has been published in the book Frances
Hodgson Burnett's The Secret Garden: A Children's Classic at 100. She lives in a hollow of the Blue Ridge
Mountains in Virginia with her husband and daughter, and her writing is inspired by
the natural world that surrounds her home.
